A monetary grant, sponsoring Agnes Janich's installation, The Way to You, at Bondi Beach in Sydney, AU, also supported by the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in Sydney, AU, and the Waverley Arts Council Artist’s Grant, Sydney, AU. The grant was awarded to Agnes Janich by Joseph Skrzynski, Director, The Sky Foundation, Sydney, AU, Chair, The Conversation Media Group, Director, Philanthropy Australia, Director, The Observership Program, Committee Member, Australian Committee for Human Rights Watch. He was awarded membership of the Order of Australia in 1993 and made an Officer in 2008 in recognition for services to the community and to the private equity industry.

The installation, The Way to You, drew attention to the parallel of the plight of Bondi Surf Bathers Lifesaving Club to rescue some 200 drowning people on Black Sunday '38, and the plight of one woman to save his husband amid the turmoil of the '44 Warsaw Uprising. The woman swam in full armour, carrying her wounded husband to safety under enemy fire. They both went on to became doctors and save lives.
