In this solo exhibition curated by Domenico Scudero across the entire floor of the Museo Laboratorio d'Arte Contemporanea (MLAC) in Rome, IT, Agnes Janich presents He Fucked Her Good, a stark commentary on a blissful sexual encounter, asking Why do people sleep together? Why do they fall in Love?
The second work on show, Girl on the Corner, is a series of mise-en-scènes of dolls juxtaposed with texts from on online teen porn forum. Girls are photographed and filmed there, so what happens to them is what, in a voluntary context, the Artist does to herself. Since she reveals what she decides to and the girls in such a young age delegate control over their bodies for monetary gain, a question arises – can they still be fully conscious women afterwards?
