In this solo exhibition curated by Domenico Scudero across the entire floor of the Museo Laboratorio d'Arte Contemporanea (MLAC) in Rome, Italy, Agnes Janich presents He Fucked Her Good, a stark commentary on a blissful sexual encounter, asking:
Why do people sleep together?
Why do they fall in Love?
The second work on show, Girl on the Corner, is a series of mise-en-scènes of dolls juxtaposed with texts from on online teen p*rn forum. Girls are photographed and filmed there, so what happens to them is what the Artist did to dolls, labelled with quotes from the forum. Since she reveals what she decides to and the girls in such a young age delegate control over their bodies for monetary gain, a question arises – can they still be fully conscious women afterwards?
