A collaborative performance bringing the experience of mass shootings to present day and imagining the death of one's loved ones, Lighting the Night was organized by the Musem of Contemporary Art MOCAK, Krakow, PL, the Auschwitz Jewish Center, a satellite of Museum of Jewish Heritage, New York, NY.

The work sparked a heated debate between two of Poland's leading art critics, one bitterly calling it, "the art of happiness" and another, Professor Joanna Tokarska-Bakir responding "My verdict - it's no big deal to be right. Being right is so pleasurable it's kitsch." (Dwutygodnik, PL) while a Swiss art critic noted that the Artist was "able to create an incomparable moment and a space for true human contact" (Melanie Kolbrunner, Landbote, CH) and an Auschwitz resident proclaiming "The piece enriches spiritually, giving us a sense of a deep social bond and a gratitude for participation." (OS, Auschwitz).
